Shadow of an Oak

I’m currently in the midst of a novel called “Shadow of an Oak”. I started working on this novel when I first moved to the Twin Cities a few years ago. It was the perfect excuse to play ‘tourist’ in my new home! Armed with my trusty guidebook I visited multiple locations around the cities that would work as ‘places of power.’ When the Norse immigrants came over to this area, they brought their gods with them. And their gods, in turn, mated with the gods of the Ojibwe (a local tribe). Their children are now teenagers and, like most teens, causing trouble. Stuck in the middle is Leonie, a mortal teenager who is half-Norse, half-Ojibwe. Unsure of what the gods want from her, but increasingly pulled into danger, she has to discover her role in the drama that’s unfolding.
